Charter Encampments and ships may pre-register their members for $10 (a 50% discount) in exchange for volunteering 4 hours of time per person. Once you have volunteered four hours, you have the opportunity for further volunteering to earn dogpounds. (For an explanation of what dogpounds are, and why they are awesome please see our eventing guide).
To qualify, your group must consist of 12 or more persons, and you must sign a contract with our volunteer coordinators before you pre-register. To contact our Volunteer Coordinators, please click here. They will work with you to complete this process.
After you have signed your contract, you may pre-register using our system. Please carefully follow the instructions in the store software as you pre-register.
To get placement for your encampment (keep scrolling for ships), here is what you need to do:
1) Read over this document which outlines the rules and procedures for large encampments, land grants, etc. Note that while a large encampment normally requires 20 persons, a charter encampment requires only 12.
2) Contact our Land Steward by clicking here so we can talk about your space and get everything settled. Please inform our Land Steward that you are a charter encampment when you do so.
3) Once you have completed the first two steps, you may pre-register. We ask that you pre-register your entire encampment at once. When you do so, the store software will ask you to list all the names in your encampment. Please give their full name and their eventing name so that at Gate, everyone’s name will be on the list.
To get placement for your ship, here is what you need to do:
Ships make their encampments along the dock. A ship is defined as at least 12 people and a mast. Yes, an actual physical mast. Making a ship is a amazing way to contribute to the event and creates such a wonderful atmosphere for everyone! People in the SeaDog Nation have ships ranging in length from 25 feet to over 100 feet long, with one, two or three masts, and so many different creative possibilities.
If you would like to have a ship at SeaDogs and be on our dock, here is what you need to do!
1)Contact our Harbor Master, Commodore Morgan to arrange your spot. Please inform the Harbor Master that you are a Charter Ship when you do so.
2) Once you have your spot settled, you may pre-register. We ask that you pre-register your entire ship at once. When you do so, the store software will ask you to list all the names in your encampment. Please give their full name and their eventing name so that at Gate, everyone’s name will be on the list.
