Topman/Rigging Class
aboard
Grace’s Revenge
Do
you know your port from your starboard?
Is there a difference between line and rope?
What exactly is a yardarm anyway? Are
shrouds and stays the same thing? Plus, what is a lubber’s hole and do you
really need one?
This and many other
questions will be answered when you attend
Grace’s Revenge Topman/Rigging class.
What you need to do:
Come to Grace’s Revenge anytime
before 8 pm Saturday night, sign up and pay your dues. The class is limited to
the first 20 pirates who sign up. Over 18 years old please as there is some risk
involved.
When:
Class will be held Sunday morning 10 am sharp, aboard
Grace’s Revenge (the most beautiful
ship in the fleet. Green and black, on the Dock, you can’t miss us)
Cost:
$20 Dog Pounds or $5 cash donation or possibly other bribes will be accepted
(make us an offer we can’t refuse ;)
Instructor:
Gracie’s Bosun Andrew McFey, a very knowledgeable and experienced seaman, will
guide you in learning the ropes from top to deck.
What’s in it for you:
Upon successful completion of the class you will be allowed (at your own
risk) to climb the ratlines, furl a sail and learn the rigging like a true
pirate. Not for the faint of heart or those with a fear of heights.
You can watch the action and learn from below too if you want to.
With your e-mail address,
we will take a few shots of you in the rigging (photos, that is) and e-mail them
to you so you can relive the thrill, time and again.
We look forward to seeing
you there. Arrrrrrr………
